User Guide

The Operations Map turns your operations workbook into an interactive map. It shows where your sites, customers and tip/disposal points are, how waste streams flow, and which hauliers move material between them.

• Map — clustered site markers, haulier-coloured route lines and an optional heatmap.
• Table — a sortable spreadsheet view of the filtered records.

• Click one or more values in the left sidebar to filter map and table together.
• Each filter shows live counts; use its search box to find a value quickly.
• The global search bar covers sites, addresses, postcodes, hauliers and planners.
• Filters are encoded in the URL — copy the address bar to share the exact view.

Common filters: Group, Site, Waste Stream, Haulier, Planner and Day.

• Heatmap — density overlay of active locations.
• Tip / Disposal routes — show or hide haulier-coloured lines.
• Zoom in to expand clusters; click any marker to open the site panel.

Selecting a site shows its address, collection schedule by day, linked tip or disposal sites, and the hauliers, planners and waste streams involved. On small screens it appears as a bottom sheet.

The dashboard overlay summarises total sites and customers, today’s collections, and breakdowns by planner, haulier and waste stream.

1. Click the upload icon in the top bar.
2. Choose your operations workbook (.xlsx, .xls or .csv).
3. Sheets, headers and relationships are detected automatically.
4. The new data replaces the current dataset in your browser.

The download icon exports the currently filtered records as a CSV file.

Sites are located automatically from postcodes and addresses. Anything that can’t be found appears in the Unlocated panel — enter coordinates as 51.5074, -0.1278 and the pin appears immediately. Results are cached in your browser.

Use the theme button in the top bar to switch between light and dark. The map adapts automatically.

• If the map looks blank, check that your browser allows WebGL.
• Share any view by copying the URL after applying filters.
• Combine filters to answer questions like “which haulier serves Food Waste sites on a Monday?”
